Yeah, pretty much the response I would have expected from you. Thanks for living up to your persona.

I have to take that van ride because I'm on company duty. Why should I use my own personal money for a tip for a van ride that I have no choice to take in service of the company. If they reimbursed me for tipping sure, fine I will, but they don't, I have to pay out of my own pocket for something that's in service of the company, so I don't. That's my personal choice, I don't tell others they should agree with me, and they don't tell me I should tip. Simple as that.

However, there are three in particular that believe you either tip, or the crew and society as a whole will deem you selfish, immature, a millennial (whatever that is supposed to mean in this context), rude or any other derogatory name they decide to call you. They are pretty self righteous in their viewpoints and hold ZERO excuse for you not to tip short of poor service, which of course, is in their opinion. You having your own opinion of what service is deserving a tip is irrelevant, because we have social justice warriors on this board that will TELL you what adequate service is. Thank god for them or I wouldn't survive operating with the general public. |
