The first thing Mx does when they do overnight work is check the bulbs and replace the burned out ones. An American 80's tail was struck by a UA 777 in ORD a couple of years ago because the tail could not be seen. I like to be seen as much as possible when taxiing around at night. The company spends thousands of dollars on green vests to give pilots so they can be seen but they don't care about their multi million dollar aircraft.
