Enjoying yourself RAHpilot? You celebrating tonight? EMB190 at 35 per hour huh? Kind of interesting how there was one or two RAH apologizing for this at first then the rest have come on making fun of others and defending this move by their management.

Honestly, no. I'm awaiting what the union is going to say.

I really dont care what everyone thinks about RAH as a whole. Was I responsible for scope erosion? No. I was playing T-ball when these decisions were made so if you want to hate me. ok. I wont stop you. I do believe your anger is misguided. I dont care. I do care making this profession better and what is happening now, I have no control over

I am not involved with managmentents decisions. I just show up and fly a plane.

Oh and to the one that started this thread. Really? REALLY!? Your mad at us (me) for stealing your job. Maybe I should have been involved with those business decisions when I was playing T-ball.

*EDIT* since you edited your post.

Whos making fun? Im just throwing quotes from family guy out to lighten the mood. I am not raining on anyones parade. I truely hope our contract we are fighting for is an industry leader so it helps everyone.

I'll just post family guy quotes to make people laugh and to relax a little.

Nope, not defending it. We're working the issue internally. Just don't like other regionals taking a "better than thou" attitude.

Just remember in the grand scheme of things, all regionals have "stolen" someone else's flying, and all majors have let it happen.

Plus, while I'm drunk and at the keyboard...

Anyone that flies any non-american aircraft has cost someone a job.
Anyone that has bought a car made overseas (including the big three) has cost someone a job.
Anyone that shops at WalMart has cost someone a job.

And what exactly is the union going to do if their members have the attitude of I just show up and fly the airplane? The union is you.

No, it's RAH or nobody. I can't believe the pilots of RAH don't think enough of their group to think that they could not make a stance with the BOD's of the company. If enough of you went ape #$$t with the BOD's, it could make a difference.

This whole ordeal is NOT about two airplanes and you know it. If you are truly against this, get together as a whole and beat down the doors in IND.

on another note.

Lois: Okay, one more minute, and then if there are two pink lines...
Peter: Oh god, I hope you're not pregnant, we can't afford another kid. We already got Chris, Stewey, Richie, Joanie, Greg, Marsha, Bobby, Jan, Mike Seaver, Carol Seaver, Boner, Urkel, Mr. Furley...
Brian: Peter those aren't your kids, that's the Nick-at-Night lineup.
Peter: Blanka, Zangeif, Chun-Li, Guile, E. Honda...
Brian: That's Street Fighter.
Peter: Red, blue, green...
Brian: Those are colors.

I know a couple Republic pilots and it would kill them to know they were replacing mainline jobs. What are they going to do? Quit? They, just like most pilots at RAH and every other regional, are just using RAH as a stepping stone to build time and move on.

Move on to what? I think we're about to witness one of two things: The end of Midwest Airlines (most probable) or the dawn of the "virtual airline" (less likely but scarier in its implications). The former is the most painful in the short-term but probably the best outcome in the long-term. The latter...well that just scares the brown stuff out of me.

Here's the way this works; always has, always will.

A pilot group picks up flying. Another pilot group says "Hey! That was our flying! I'm on the street because you guys do it cheaper!!! SCAB!!!"

I'm sorry your on the street. The reason your on the street may or may not be your fault. It may be because you got hosed in arbitration and had a valid contract thrown out (not your fault). It may be because you never negotiated a reasonable scope clause into your contract (your fault). Point being...am I supposed to now put myself on the street so you can have your job back?
