I wish the executive compensation was tied to the contracts.... I'd love for Delta to throw us out and see Phil, Clive, and the gang get nothing. If they're going to cost me my job, I want to see them suffer..... and since midevil torture devices are decidedly illegal, the next best thing would be to see those guys squirming with no money.

"Mid-evil"? Heck, they should receive "high-evil" or maybe even "ultra-evil" torture!

I think the only way we accept dual qual is if it's bid seniority based on a monthly basis...dual crews with seperate lines. If you call in sick/have vacation/training etc on a 900 mo., then u get 900 pay. it's the only fair thing for seniority and pay...bet the company won't like that though.

I don't think we should be doing it until there is "X" number or % of -900's in the system. All of ours (16 lines) are in ATL, whereas the other 1000 pilots and 124 lines are in MEM,DTW,MSP, and a little IND. At the point where we have a larger percentage of the 700/900 variant in the fleet and all bases the company can dual qual and pay the 700/900 rate for ALL flying. Once you are dual qual, you get paid the higher of the types for all work. Just like when there were 44 seater and 50 seat -200's and everyone made the 50 seat rate.

That would almost guarantee that (at least for a few years) nobody would get dual qual'd since there is no growth currently. It does give mgmt the flexibility later when growth may start again (or swaps for 200's), but would protect the pilot group now and compensate the group later. Just my thoughts. I should have more of an idea of what the neg is going after on monday.
