No no no no, I dont think they are the law. He asked "who do THEY think they are". They think they are the law. I think, well you dont want to know what I think about them.

Probably the same things as I.....but I'm glad that I did misread your post (though honestly I figured that was what you meant )

I don't even consider them to be security. I don't know, can they handcuff someone? No matter how much they try to portray the image of police, they're just screeners as far as I'm concerned.

On that note, has anyone really looked at their badges? It says "Officer"!

No system will ever be perfect, and I agree that the TSA fiasco is so far from even being normal, that it should probably be scrapped in favor of something else.... however, articles like the one in your link do nothing but teach the would be idiots how to defeat what little "security" there is.

Yep, it "exposes" a problem.... but was there any doubt the "problem" existed in the first place; NO. So why write an article that details exactly how to get past security... it doesn't change anybody's mind about what is, or isn't wrong with TSA... it just highlights a few good methods to get things past them. The article is of no use to anybody except a criminal.

As long as it doesn't say Police, or Special Agent... it's legal....
in this case it's Security Officer... although I am sure that many
actual Federal Law Enforcement Officers are upset about them being issued badges of the exact same style and type as their own, with just small wording changes. Personally, I liked their uniforms before; they looked more professional.... now they look ridiculous.

They look like jet blue flight attendants with a badge.

YES. Ignorance along with a badge equals above the law to most tsa employees! Regional pilots get heat for dressing like a slob, you should see some of these "professionals" This guy in DTW had earrings as big as a headlight on a chevy! (Very classy)
