If that happens, so be it. For the first time in 5 years it seems like everyone is finally getting the message. That message is - if you aren't going to treat us like adults and pay us like airline pilots then we are going to shut your airline down. I hope our numbers get worse.
If only a certain group in IND could understand what group resolve is and what the definition of "enabler" is. Good job, Flagship and good luck in the near future! |

In the past, I've not been very impresed with much of Pinnacle's operations, including a certain group in the pilot group, but today I must say that I am impressed that you have the resolve, AS A GROUP, to do what you can to say enough is enough.

I totally agree with you, I work for your sister bottomfeeder but at this point I'd rather have it burn down to the ground (along with other bottomfeeders) and would be quite happy to witness this firsthand. So why don't I just quit now? Well, if I did that there are thousands of other guys who would gladly take my spot, and that wouldn't help the matter of shutting buddy down. in actuality I think the possibility of pinnacle shutting down is low (not saying it can't happen, obviously), but with the numbers getting worse, the possibility of the mgmt giving in definitely gets greater. It's an absolute shame that phil and his buddies have been dragging you guys along for 5 years! I just wish more of you guys (and us too) were willing to stand up to mgmt even if it means the risk of shutting them down (and especially because of that risk). For guys not willing to do so because they are afraid of losing their jobs, wouldn't that be a scab-like mentality? I realize these types will always exist (willing to take abuse forever because they have bills to pay... don't we all?) but I hope they are outnumbered. |

Im sure this is making Delta look at you guys in a great light... I understand you guys are fighting a hard fight against your management but couldnt this hurt in the short and even long run with your contract with Delta? What is a contract going to do if you dont have anyone to fly for?
First, an unhappy Delta could benefit the pilots in the negotiation process. If Delta threatens pulling the flying, PNCL management has a choice of keeping 100% of nothing, or satisfy the pilot group and still keep 90% of Delta money. Second, indentured servitude is not a condition to perpetuate. Keep up the good fight! |
