You have more recency and repetition on landing the plane, so do you not let your FO's land either? At Lakes the FO's do (or at least "did") those checks. Well said Flex. At lakes the FO on the Brasilia dose EVERYTHING!!! Preflight, AC acceptance, FFOD's, paper work, clearances, postflight, you name it. The Captain gets the tiller, landing lights, and gets to hold up their fingers to signal which engine to start and thats about it!!

The FO is a friend of mine.We went to college and used to fly together. I feel bad for the guy and would like to think that his mistake will be a lesson to all of us. I hope this will not end his career.
