Do you really need someone from within the pilot group to tell you how to raise morale???

Shows how disconnected and out of touch you are from the pilots at Colgan.

No, not really.

You're disconnected......- from this thread.

They're asking why (specific) circumstances of why it's low. That way they know how to rectify it.

I believe Seggy is the CJC MEC Chairman.

Thank you! We are working on something and need specifics.

And I believe that is probably part of the problem.

Wanna raise morale, you can start by getting rid of a politician and hire in a leader who is looking out for the best interests of his/her pilot group.

The pilots of Colgan Air deserve ALOT better.

From what I've read about a few of the new rule proposals (12 hrs in domicile prior to duty in and 10 hrs min rest)

If it is 10 hours min rest how can they require 12 hours in domicile? Are they also going to require ankle monitors AKA house arrest?

great, now even less productive trips and less days off. I dont get who thinks of these things, its not the flying that makes us tired, its the sitting around all day in the airport..............

10hrs of flying max, 13.5 hr duty day :)

If they do make that 12hr in domicile, I foresee a large problem with pilot shortages and a mass exodus of pilots to either other careers or home based flying jobs. Especially with FO's who dont have much to lose.

Or you'll just see these FOs living in crashpads permanently. I've seen lots of resident crashpaders who were saving money on 1st year pay. It wasn't pretty but it worked. Keep in mind there are folks out there who will fly AT ANY COST. That's why this career is so awful.

Get a clue. Mark is not a politician. I wish Mark was my companies MEC Chairman.

I'm going to have to say......you have no clue as to what you speak of! Seggy has gone above and beyond thus far in his role as MEC Chairman.

Ask me how I know?

Keep up the good work, Segs!

I agree that if they are gonna require any time in domicile before show time then min rest should be at or above the "get to domicile" time.
