They wouldn't cancel the flights, there are numerous regionals who could step in and fly those routes without so much as a hickup. XJT and SKW come to mind, possibly ASA and I'm sure if United gave AWAC a few months notice they could do it as well.

Comair has 300 extra pilots (this just in- 400 pilots starting in September) and 30+/- aircraft sitting around.

Plus Delta testified in Bankruptcy court that Comair's costs were competitive with Republic. And Delta never lies or exaggerates.

I have read, heard, or otherwise that because it is a different certificate Republic, vs Shuttle, vs CHQ that no anticompetitive issues. However, come capacity contract time, watch out.
