MKE-LAX E-190s

Rebulic just initiated nonstop MKE-LAX service with the E-190 but rumor has it that they are not being flown by Repubic or Midex pilots? Are the out sourcers being outsourced?

So the rumor that the feds gave a thumbs down to the differences training is just a malicious rumor?

The E-190 is not a regional jet. Those flights should be operated with Midex crews. Airtran and Southwest will dominate MKE in about 5 year. Just an educated guess. It is a stong market. Not that I want to see midwest go away, I just do not want republic flying it.

Are the 717s still flying?

king10pin02 08-02-2009 06:50 AM

they are flying and will be till January or so. the Midex certificate is going away when the last boeing is parked. the midex crews cannot touch the 190s till they are on the RAH seniority list, I imagine that will be awhile.
