I doubt people will be lining up to buy tickets on Colgan. Sorry, but the name doesn't have the best reputation right now in the general public.

Not to mention it's one thing to be told where and when to fly by a mainline partner. It's a completely different ballgame to market, sell, and execute your own flights. I don't have any respect for Colgan management to think that they would be capable of pulling that off.

There will be no branded flying for Colgan. Thats just absurd to even mention it aloud. If anything the Colgan name will be gone within a year or two. Branded fyling...........give me a break.

You've just explained all of Colgan's SAAB 340 operations. They market, set prices and execute all SAAB flights.

For the last time- Colgan tells the mainline partner where they will be flying! Colgan just uses the paint scheme.

anyone have any idea about UAL cancelling a bunch of roundtrips for sept to AOO-JST, MGW-CKB, and SHD-BKW through IAD?

You are joking, I assume.

Yeah, I'm sure United is more than happy to let Colgan dictate where it flies, and for how much, and United is more than happy to pay Colgan their fee, no matter what. Yeah right.

All Colgan 340 flying is at risk. UA and Airways pay nothing. In fact they get a cut of the money.
