Name says it all. But with recent events and changing of the banking laws, it has become much tougher to earn a living at it. But it is something you can do on the road with your computer if you put a little work into it.

Having a second job isn't always about paying the bills. I fly corporate with a great salary, I work for a logging company a few days a week whacking trees down just to do something besides sitting on my butt all day in an airplane. It doesn't pay great but it is nice to do something exciting that requires a little skill

Contact the school district, many districts are always looking for subs. If you have a technical degree, most will take you without any teaching credentials, otherwise you may need the creds. The way it usually works is you go in a pool and they call you if they need you, but you can always say no so it works well with the airline gig.
Probably not worth it for a sub job!
