Looks like you guys have the right idea about this turd.

Unbelieveable and very disappointing. I think this has a decent chance of not making it past the pilot group.

If one had to guess, what is the percentage for and against?

(If it comes to a strike, I, and everyone I know at your sister company are with you. No flying struck work.)

You really think Colgan pilots will strike if Pinnacle pilots strike? There is 0 chance that will happen, 0.0. It would be against the law to strike as a Colgan pilot. We are not the same pilot group (yet).

I do believe that the Colgan pilots will support the Pinnacle pilots by walking the line with them to show supportand participate in any ALPA demonstration, but there is no chance of the Colgan pilots walking out. If you do, you will be out of a job and possibly more action to come.

Plus it is not like Colgan will be flying struck work. Are they going to put Saabs on those routes? We barely have enough planes to cover our flying.

Im with you in the idea of supporting Pinnacle pilots but I think the idea of Colgan striking or refusing to fly is a bit off

I hope the Pinnacle Strike Center is getting a list of all current Pinnacle flying put together to distribute amongst the other DCI MEC's ASAP. If you guys vote this down (and I hope you do), you are one step closer to self help. Unfortunately, I think that Delta will quickly start shifting flying around and you may see more ASA, Comair and Mesaba metal flying current Pinnacle flights.

I will not be flying struck work!

He didn't mean for you guys to strike also. What is expected is that all union pilots do not fly routes that were Pinnacles should a strike be required. Colgan keeps flying their normal schedule along with other DCI carriers.

I have no idea what the CJC pilots would do, but you're incorrect about the legalities. Secondary boycotts (sympathy strikes) are perfectly legal under the RLA.

You are correct. It is legal under the RLA but not the NLRA, so Colgan "could" strike

The road shows have not started, so you really can't tell. Initially, the guess was it would pass but I think that tide is still turning.

The road shows probably should be a decent indicator, plus it should be entertaining in at least 2 of the domiciles how the reps and NC spins this. DTW both reps voted the TA down, MEM had both vote it up. This is while one rep is being recalled and the other is also on the NC and will be promoted to VC.

I thought the same thing too. However now I would be very suprised if this TA got more than a 20 percent yes vote.

Do the colgan guys have a union message board yet? I am curious if your MEC has put up OUR parent letter over there since it directly involves both of us- I am having reservations towards a cut/paste on APC as a public site, but am about 99% sure that the Colgan MEC has the whole deal to look at/compare when they start their negotiations.
