Yeah, Right On!

Only Communist liberal Fashists would find wearing the flag design in any form anything but a statement of pure patriotism...

I find the above images offensive, but I understand that patriotism is about meaning, not symbols.

The flag is not as important as as the values it represents.

If you ever wear one, I think you'll find that most of the traveling public thinks they're very nice.

At least 5-10 comments every day I wore one. Then Mesa said that being patriotic is an offense punishable by termination.

I've flown with men and women from the Armed Forces who both wear and say that they like patriotic ties.

They used to be on every other Mesa pilot in PHX. I would confuse them with SWA. By the way was SWA that introduced these flag ties?

Am I the only one that finds this disrespectful?

Ha, I thought I was the only one that always notices this, but only because I have done some reading about flag etiquette and find it very interesting. I don't think it's disrespectful, at least not intentionally. I think Americans are just patriotic and like displaying the flag. And flag etiquette isn't exactly common knowledge and most people don't even know it exists (other than perhaps that the flag isn't supposed to touch the floor). I was relieved when I got rid of my last car that my parents gave me, which they had put an American flag sticker on that I didn't even illuminate at night.
