Wow! So a company like mine, which does not require a hat (and over 95% of our guys don't wear them) must be a really unprofessional company!!! What about JetBlue? I guess those guys are unprofessional too! What about Southwest? Oh wow those guys must be unprofessional as well! All these unprofessional pilots flying around without their hats.

fly2002, respectfully, your post has got to be the most absurd, erroneous, and ironically unprofessional statement I've seen in quite sometime.

Wow.....yet another hat thread.

I do like the idea of all wearing it on 9/11, however. I don't wear one now, but like the idea of the original post.

Being an ex military guy, I think its just not right to be covered indoors where we mostly reside when not flying. I feel wrong wearing a cover inside, just second nature, I dont think a hat makes a pilot look professional. Good fit, clean pressed uniform is all that really matters. The hats look stupid in my opinion.

And yes they are mostly worn by bald pilots! LOL

I agree with the original post, but my airline requires us to wear them to bed pretty much. So I'll be wearing my on that day. More importantly, my thoughts, prayers, and remembrance will be with those that lost someone.

I actually wouldn't be against wearing one if the hat that we use wasn't so cheap, generic, and ugly.
Some airlines require you to wear your hat; Delta/Comair. Nothing wrong with wearing the proper uniform.

You're correct sir, there is nothing wrong with wearing what the company requires you to wear, hat or no hat.

Agreed. Our hats are not good. I tried wearing mine a few trips ago only to get comments. "what's wrong with your hat?" "did you get the right size?" "did you get that from the valet?"
I agree we should wear hats. Real hats.

Mine has been in the trunk of my car.
