It seems obvious now that you had an incompetent negotiating team and the overall leadership is anything but. It sounds as though a thorough housecleaning is in order.

Hopefully you'll have better results when these embarrassing characters are shown the door.

Some signed their own ticket with this vote.

Wow I laughed at all the suckers who changed their Yes vote to a No vote based on the signing bonus. LOL! What a educated group of FO's we have! Do the math fellas.... Can't figure out why they voted yes in the first place. Must be that huge $8/hr raise. Chump Change

A couple years back a now Senior DTW Check airman predicted that if/when a TA came about the FO ranks were the most vulnerable. I mentioned the same thing to the current MEC chair, that we needed to educate the ranks. That fell on deaf ear's and now the result are pilots changing their votes. It is a sad day when pilots are voting yes for only a mere 3 sections being acceptable, I guess the other 28 sections don't matter.

I have fielded 10+ calls today alone asking how to vote "NO". All were FO's.

I try to encourage folks to think for themselves, but when they call livid and angry wanting to know how to vote NO and also how do we start recalls my job becomes half therapist, have instructor all over again.

It's all good in the end.

Still looking for a MEM FO rep though. If someone is interested please step forward.

i've heard .... is going after Wake's vacated seat, is this true, or is he going to run for Rhymes vacant seat? The only vocal FO I can think of that would be right for the position is you or MR CAPITAL LETTERS, and he is an idiot, and that was a joke, so we need you. But I understand you may have no interest and have other things going on in your life besides working for free for the union.

I am more than willing to do it if nobody else steps up that will truly do a "full effort" job. I am not a politician, but I understand the fact of how unions need teamwork to operate and am willing to put the time (better yet more time) into the union to help every pilot here and help the industry going forward. I am already shaking the tree from the ground level, If I need to get in the tree to actually make things happen I am willing an able. All that being said I will NOT nominate myself or campaign, I do my duties as a MEM based FO/P2P rep/R&I committee member. The rest is not for me to decide.

PM me about your other questions through the company site. I don't see it relevant for the public board but am more than willing to tell you what I know.
