Bedford doesn't understand the term "conflict of interest," he is afterall using all the money paid to him by DL, US, UA, AA, and CO to buy two airlines and start up an ULCC to compete with the aforementioned airlines. Sure it might be legal, but talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Before RAH pilots get ****ed noticed how I said Bedford and not pilots. I know you are powerless in your current situation.

On topic: Congrats to the Eagle pilots hopefully this means recalls for you and no lost jobs at American Mainline.

this is bad. Looks like regionals are taking over mainline jobs. I already see the effects of it in Rochester Airport (KROC).

stupid post.

we parked all the saabs and a bunch of 135s. the 22 new crjs are neutral growth compared with 18 months ago.

"Taking over mainline jobs" - HA! APA has a strict scope clause that regulates how big we can grow. We are simply growing to the size that "mainline" has permitted us to grow. No other way to look at it homie.

what do you have against chq PILOTS? did they personally go to management and say "get that AE flying!!!"...haha...NO!! whats the matter with you man? so bitter...

the other thing, how is it that people dont think this reduces mainline jobs. personally, i think everything 50 seats and up should be mainline. or better yet, if its got the name on the side, it should be flown by their pilots. i know it wont happen. and i know you (or myself) didnt ask for it to be that way, just like you didnt ask for more planes and more routes. you have as much control over that as the chq guys or the rest of us, so maybe you should just get over it.

the fact is, as each year passes, there is more regional flying and less mainline flying, and less quality jobs for us to move on to. if you see it any other way you are in denial. i hope everyone likes their regional, cuz your going to be there a long time with this trend.

First off, congrats on the new airframes.

Second, this sounds like a statement from an individual jumping to a false conclusion. From all appearances, it seems there is a shift of block hours flown by CHQ in STL to ORD, not an increase in block hours (of course, no one knows the final breakdown, I'm sure). So to be ****ed for not having recalls because of CHQ "picking up more flying" doesn't make sense. That being said, I could be proven wrong tomorrow - who knows...

Looks like STL is turning into MCI.
