Speak for yourself! Before the changes; in the seven years I've been nonreving on DL I had never been stuck anywhere or not been able to get on a flight. Since the changes I've had four or more daily/overnight airport appreciation sits. Of course the reduced capacity doesn't help one bit either.

New rule looks like is same except retirees/parents of mainline DAL do not board before active pilots at W/O regionals like us, they board after us.

With the capacity cuts and downgrading DC9 and A320 flights to Pinnacle CRJ200s and Compass E175s by the NWA during the merger made our commutes lot harder. Now with access to DAL mainline flights at S3C for XJ pilots made our commute easier even with the capacity cuts.

I guess for you it got harder because now you have compete with 8 other regional employees in addition to DAL/NWA people.

It's been tough since, CVG is served less by mainline and more by a myriad of DCI carriers other than Comair, Compass or Mesaba. It's mostly CHQ, F8, ASA, SkyWest-900's and a few Pinnacle -900's. Most of our routes out of CVG are in the NE or to our mx/pilot/FA bases.

All I know is I listed for a few flights for this month and there is a group of 4 in front of me on the non-rev list with a seniority date of 5/25/69!!.... How can anyone compete with that? Lucky for me the airbus has 2 jumpseats worst case.

if I am not mistaken the "owned" regionals (comair/mesaba/compass) can use the upgrade to 2C on mainline but like us at Skywest can only use the upgrade on our own aircraft...

We can only upgrade to S2 on Comair, Mesaba and Compass operated flights.
