They probably think he might jump ship as soon as he gets a different/better offer.... If i was in the HR business, I'd rather hire some eager newbyte also, who'd more likely stick it out for years to come. return on investment

It sounds like they're firm on the 1000/100 mins, so if you don't have it you probably won't get the call but you never know unless you try. The worst they can do is say come back when you have the mins. As far as having too much time, I'm not sure but I know there is a general target they are going for at ~1500/200 give or take a bit. I'm sure they'd love to hire people with prior turbine/121 but they know you'd probably leave asap like donkedpilot said.

I understand about jumping ship and all but what about safety and experience of pilots??? That should be the main issue, he could have brought good knowledge in but its a catch 22 with companies and pilots these days, the bottom line is its always about the mighty dollar...

Well the waiting by the phone begins again. I think Sara and Chuck told us that they would call us today to make things official for the first class.

Almost 2000TT. Mostly CFI but have about 60 hrs turbine flying part 91 corporate. They are firm on the 1000/100 so once you have it apply and see what happens.

just got an email saying my times were a little light for the next interviews but he was motioning it through.. (1440 TT 103ME, 1133 turbine (part 135), and a walkin). Seems a little vague and I wasnt really sure what it meant. any ideas? I'm trying to stay positive. It kinda seems its going to the bottom of the pile. Better response than last time though.

Because you had someone walk a recommendation in for you he is putting it through. He was saying your Multi time is very light compared to other applicants.
