You are right. LCC would be the aquiring carrier to prevent the snapbacks, it would be called United, Tilton would get his payday and get the hell out like he wants, and Parker would be king of the dung heap. (Talking about the management team, not the hard working employees.)

 

I'll take the opportunity to plug Holly Hegemen. She's got her lid screwed on tighter and in better shape than a good 99.9% of industry analysts and speculators.

I don't want to post her opinions on the subject verbatim, but in her weekly post put out yesterday, her take on this was positive... as long as Tilton gets the hell out of town when it's all said and done. She wants Doug and Scott at the helm. She also went on to give her two cents about the pilot unions making statements so soon after the "leak". Don't think that US hasn't learned its lesson and didn't take note of DL/NWA. She also surmises the end of USAPA once the UA ALPA group comes into the mix.

If you don't subscribe to her, I highly suggest shelling out the meager quarterly price. She may not say what you want to hear, but damn it, she plays it as straight as it can come. The woman is S-M-R-T... I mean S-M-A-R-T!
