And why would they be leaving? They're mainline now. What's the point of going to Airtran when you're going to be flying mainline aircraft at RAH and have big seniority at the same time.

Wow, way to turn this into another RAH bashing post. Get a life.

We are all just trying to make a living doing what we love to do. If we vote in a sub-par contract when it comes time, then let the name-calling begin. Most of us were not even here when the last one was negotiated, and the ones that were here did not expect this airline to grow as it has.

Yes, this has worked in management's favor--but i can all but guarantee that the next contract will not have FO's maxing out at $37 and hour. That is what I am making now and it is an insult. Then again, I still plan on getting out of here as soon as i can...this place will ALWAYS have the regional mentality--anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

I have to agree. While I'm not a RAH employee, I have to say that your airline is morphing into a very sizable entity. I would hope that since you've become a stand alone airline you'd want to achieve a contract similar to other stand alone airlines....or better. How about those JetBlue rates?

The very problem with regional airline pay is that pilots use the company with no mindset of staying. In my opinion, when pilots give an airline a reason to justify that training is cheaper than paying for longevity and experience, there's a problem.

In return the airline justifies the poor working conditions and pay based on a carrot that there'll be more opportunities. At who's expense?

If it does come to a strike vote with our next contract--I will not hesitate to walk out. Unfortunately, we have a sizeable group of senior captains here (making a little over or around 100K), that I think will not compromise their income with a strike vote.

I may be an FO making a pathetic wage here, but I won't hesitate for a second to strike in hopes of improving this profession for future generations. If it is not JetBlue or better (which is unlikely), I will vote it down in a heartbeat. I have nothing to lose.

I hate what this company has done with Midwest. Those pilots have every reason to be ****ed off. If i were them it would take a lot of restraint not to smart off to our crewmembers when they see us. Management uses us as a disposable source of labor and while it will never completely stop, we cant sell each other down the river.

Sorry to get off the original topic here...

So back to topic. Is there a SA class tomorrow or not? If as previously advertised on here that there was suppose to be 27 Midwest pilots in these two classes, when is Republic going to notify them? At the first coffee break tomorrow?

Default Confused?

I started at RAH before the Republic type certificate on the E-170 in May 2004ish. We finished ground school in PIT but never went to the sim and were "let go." Upon starting up again in August under the CHQ certificate I still retained my DOH of May 2004. Wouldn't past precident apply and mean you had a DOH of when you first started training and not start you over again? I didn't even have to do the $150/week training again and my pay raises were all based on the May 2004 training. Not trying to stur a pot. This is just what happened to us. Even the reverand agreed we needed to be kept on the seniority list where we were. An email was sent out by the union explaining why the 3 of us reappeared on the seniority list with the date we had.

Hope this helps you get at least some more $$ out of those bloodsucking turnips in the RAH executive suites.

Please quit trolling. Why the heck would you come on here asking if pilots at Republic know if Midwest pilots are going to notified about an upcoming class date? Getting really old.
