Conflicted with the CRJ, got an RA to climb, so he climbed into the Q400 and I believe had another RA for the Q400. I don't know how close they got.
Had the same situation happen to us north of PHL several years ago, only we were the "CRJ." The TCAS did as good a job as anything could have keeping us smack between the above/below aircraft. ATC had planned on us calling the VFR intruding aircraft in sight (which we couldn't), and then reported deviating for an RA. We expected an apology . . . instead they tried to fry US for breaking separation. Watch your backs out there!

Must have been the infamous 177th FW poser. He must have been practicing with the Thunderbirds for his upcoming airshow.

I've always wondered why it's called a "near miss". It should be a "near hit", shouldn't it? It was actually a "complete miss". A "near miss" would mean they hit.

Just symantics.
