Question GOJETS and EXPRESSJET

Anyone who knows if working for GOJETS puts you on some sort of black list??

Other question: ExpressJet is still hiring like maniacs. Is there any update on what's going with the 69 jets??

I'm just trying to find out if both these airlines are a dead end.

Although there probably is not a blacklist,(might be someplace at TSA) you would be wise to stay away from BloJets.

With such a horrible reputation and with so many other "quality" regionals hiring, why chance it. Some day you will be interviewing and somebody is going to know you worked at BJ and you my not get offered that job.

There should be a list, there should be people who are held to account for what they have done to this profession. Yes, managemnet holds a lot of the blame, but it is our fellow pilots who work for crap wages that screw us all.

I think XJets is having their share of problems with mgt. but from what I know..they are not scabs..just strugling pilots like the rest of us.

And by the way..if there is a choice between a BJ or Freedom guy asking for the jump seat in my plane and ANY another pilot..who do you think we leave on the ramp.

Yes, there is a list. It is not officially part of the master scab list, but plenty of folks will carry it around with them forevever and you might run into one of those people when you need a jumpseat or job someday.

Like mushroom said, plenty of regionals are hiring.

Whats this supposed to mean? You're not talking about ExpressJet are you? I think we have one of the best managements in the regional industry. And I have NEVER heard of an ExpressJet pilot being accused of being a scab.

I work for Mesa and when trying to jumpseat I get asked all of the time if I work at Freedom, which is Bull****** because freedom is and has been ALPA for quite sometime. I would imagine working for Blojet is going to cause you serious problems for the long run and probrably impossible to commute.

X-jet is top class I don't know when the mushroom guy was talking about.

How would they know if you worked at Freedom? Unless you are dumb enough to admit it. GoJet is by no means a dead end, I guarantee you a lot of those guys have sights on jobs other than pax flying. Int/Corp/Charter/Fractional community don't really care much what happens on the pax side. If you are willing to go through a little discrimination, then go for it. Gojet is said to have major growth and short upgrade times, just don't expect much when you look at other airlines for jobs.

Carry the F.A.G. list with you and distribute as needed.

Not accusing anyone of being a scab.

XJets is looking for more flying and better pay ...just like the rest of us. That's what I was implying.

But we also have a mangement that respects the pilot group. When Big CAL wanted us to do the job but do it cheaper, management could have bent right over and come looking for concessions like they do at so many other companies. Instead, XJT told CAL to go fornicate with themselves and started diversifying their operation to ensure profitability. I can't think of too many other regional managements who would do the same.

Now I'm not saying that there aren't the usual gripes about schedules, time off, benefits, bonehead policies, etc. but you will find that at any company. I think its a tendency of pilots not to be content but to always be seaking better.
