We have no way of even knowing if this letter is real. However, if it is real... why did you post it on here? I understand Airline Pilot Central is suppose to be a place we can be open about the industry... to get the good and the gritty about everything airline. But jeez... talk about defamation of character.

Easy guys and gals. I received the letter via email as well. IIRC, it was sent from the company through the AirlineApps system, so anyone with an app in that met the requirements probably got it.

"Do you think an employer would hire someone like that? "
I really do not want to start a war but i want to mention a word .. Its called Loyalty ... Loyalty is a quality that is highly desireable . whether someone has an axe to grind after being rejected for employment or screwed over for promotion . Being loyal even when you feel the chips are down speaks volumes about character . Everyone here is looking for the dream job but I will say would a potential employer hire someone who is not loyal . NO sometimes things are better left unsaid . I blew the sim ride at Colgan and did not get hired . Was I dissapointed in the process YES Would I bad mouth the airline NO Will I re apply and hopefully get to show myself as a better pilot yes .
I am unemployed but I am loyal Thats why i sleep good at night though I am stressed about getting a job. Flame away if you feel the need.

I met Chuck Colgan last week and he was under the weather . He is actually a very nice guy . That letter that has been posted may have been typed up by an office worker . After talking to him I am of the opiniion that those words did not come from him . The spelling or grammar either .
The " I have no desire to work at such a place" sounds fishy is it you have no desire to work at the place or they did not hire you? I was not hired but have no axe to grind I did ****ty in the sim . My fault ...not Colgans . Given the opportunity to do the sim over I would do well. Just my observation.

No axe to grind. I didn't interview there because I truly do NOT want to work there. I am just curious why a company would send out a letter like this.
I truly wish you luck on your next interview. Hopefully you will succeed and get a job.

When did they take the Gucci leather seats out of the planes? That was always our selling point..... "Folks reach forward and feel that imported European leather seat in front of you.... only here at Colgan will you really experience an all First Class cabin."
