Hello everyone! I just wanted to know when hired by an arline and put in a base were you don't know nothing about living there, plus you don't have a car to transport? How did you did it? Did you stay in a hotel a couple of weeks? Does the airline help you find somewhere to live? Crashpad?
Thanks.
Sorry if it does an make sence!

You can live anywhere you want and comute. You don't have to live where you are based out of. It makes life a little bit easier on yourself though if you live where you are based out of. But you can find crash pads at you crew base, and some guys even buy a car they really don't care about and use it just at their base.

I lived in Northern California and was hired in the North East. I moved. They give you a few days to get set up. Commuting can be very hard. Your life would be better not commuting. You get more days at home and save lots of money.

Hotel for the first night or two until you find a crash pad. Talk to coworkers, use the message boards in the crew room, or Craig's List (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/) to find a place to stay.
