Colgan Q Cleveland or Houston?

Well the formal announcement is going to be Monday. The way it sounds like is Cleveland for the new planes. That's my take on it, thoughts?

Cleveland was the rumor, as was EWR and maybe IAD as a longshot.

For those non Colgan...Mgmt has announced that CAL has been restructuring regional feeds and that the 15 Q's slated for IAH in September may be heading to another base. The change deals with the fact that the new United may want more mainline out of IAH and use the regional Q's at another location. Mgmt met with CAL today and we will find out more on Monday

If it is CLE I would assume that management would allow people who bid IAH Q400 to return to the Saab in IAH... or have a lot of angry pilots on their hands... not something you want while negotiating a contract. That being said I think that the Q's will still go to IAH and that the next set of Q's have now been spoken for.... whether or not the base for the next series of Q's will be CLE is anyone's guess... what makes you think these planes are going to CLE?

What about CommutAir. When I interviewed with them they were claiming they might be opening an IAH base. Would Colgan going to CLE run CommutAir out?

CLE is the word, from the cp. If they were going to stay in iah, management would have said already. Yall can go to hell, I'll stay in Texas.

I really think these are not going to IAH anymore. It would be a "mainline" move to tell a regional sub contractor to change all plans for planes set to hit in 2 months. The training issue will be a huge deal, most guys in IAH held out for IAH Q because they did not want to commute, now they may be told either commute or pound sand.

My guess is if it goes somewhere besides IAH they will have to rebid with a new vacancy bid and go from there. Colgan better hope it is CLE and not ERW. If it is EWR they will have a hard time finding CA's for EWR who meet the Q mins.

I can not see the ideaof props coming into CLE being a good thing at all for CommutAir. However the idea of that should make people happy because Colgan taking CommutAir flying would be a good thing because Colgan pilots make more than CommutAir pilots:rolleyes:

I am with you... I would rather stay in IAH than go elsewhere... which CP are we talking about? R.O., B.K., or T.D.?

Yeah... thats like having chocolate smeared on your face and claiming "its doody baby." Its easier to commute to IAH when I already live here than it is to go to EWR or CLE...
