Do you mind if I use that term and definition? I love a little comedy- it's keeps folks from crying.

Be my guest. Besides, I think it's public domain.

His wife cleaned him out in the 90's when he was caught diddling the help. Left him with nothing but the clothes on his back and that stupid pickup.

Fired as Chief Pilot for taking too much joy in firing pilots and discussing the details publicly (costing Airlink $$$ in settlements)

Fired as head of the CEC for selling pre-paid sim time to CMR for pennies on the dollar in 2001 and then causing a massive training logjam.

Removed from check and training duties because, well, we all know why.

Salvaged from obscurity as a paper-legal Part 119 Chief Pilot since the person they hired for the position did not have the minimum experience.

Has basically turned to sh!t everything his greasy hands have ever touched. Not loved by PT or the board. Not likely a strong candidate for VP FO.
After reading your post, I cannot think of a better candidate for upper level airline management.

I hear they are even considering diversions as unplanned absences.

I have never seen such idiocy.

Imagine the beatings the FAs are gonna get if they call in sick or fatigued in July. Anyone check the reserve coverage for them yet? It's pretty laughable. Sick call in MEM? Guess they'll be DHing a FA from DTW or MSP.....

You guys have 7 day off reserve lines?

FWIW, when NJA was putting me on Pinnacle flights, it was always single engine taxi, APU off until just before push, APU shutdown after 2nd motor running, single engine back into the gate after landing (as evidenced by all of us sweating back there). I even asked one of the captains about the "negotiations", he voiced his disgust about it, but his aircraft operation said otherwise.

I sincerely hope you guys get what you're worth, but you're going to have to fight for it.

You must have been going in/out of Memphis, this is not how it works in MSP. By the way, whats up with the "nose in the air" attitude from NJA pilots? I know Pinnacle is a crap-hole airline, but jeeeez give me a break.

Guess things changed a bit since I left. We used to crank the APU as soon as we signed the jet, and leave it running until 10k, per the checklist. Then we crank it on again on descent below 10k, again, per the checklist, and leave it running until I meet the next crew on the jetbridge... I put safety, crew and passengers comfort on top of anything else

He complained that I had 4 logbooks. 2 little ones like you get in primary training and 2 of the big "20 year for a fedex reserve pilot" jeppessen. All were full with at the time 8 years of 91/135 experience plus 5 years 121 six leg a day 4 days a week crap. "why do you need this many logbooks? You know how many I have ? ONE" SL says. I replied, "SL, I log mine by flight, i dont have to do it by month or day as you like, plus didn't you only get here with 300 hours or so and have been flying a desk pretty much ever since then? So of course I will have more logbooks than you!"
He wasn't too happy with that.....
