As a new hire, they assigned me, and everyone else in my class IOE out of our base. This is a very cheap company, so you have to be willing to fight them on issues like this. I was able to get a hotel after refusing to do the trip. This was during the last hiring boom when everbody was hiring. Most likley you would be fired now.

Very annoying to me and at least offensive to the guy sitting to my left who used to flew those routes for 3 times the money. I'm just saying most guys over there need to excersize some more tact.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. Talk about seeing something thats not there. You may hate republic, but to say the pilots here are somehow different from other pilot groups is just assinine. There are some great people that fly for RAH, and they far outnumber the people on the other end. The only difference between an RAH pilot, Coex, Comair, AWAC, etc. is RAH's management decided to go out and buy a few struggling majors. Had Bedford not made that decision, no one would be saying a word about this pilot group.

Like one of your pilots said, "it's like interviewing your brother for the job of your brother. It doesn't matter whether he gets the job or not he's still your brother." I know of a few Midwest guys who were able to get thru the interview without telling them off and didn't walk out of the sim. who have hire dates in the early 90's. I know they are complaining constantly so when you see them go right ahead and call them complainers. I'd paid for an airline ticket to go see that. Another thing, no obligation? I think you fell out of the morality tree and didn't so much as ruffle a leaf.

So now you're "morally" entitled to a job? You apparently fell out of the woe is me entitlement tree and broke every branch on the way down. Thanks again for telling us all like it is.

Queen of putting words in everyone's mouth aren't you. Where was the word entitled in my response? No entitlement, something with a little more legal standing like maybe the law. Something like the RLA and AM which was recently improved. You, the IBT and your buddy BB can deny, drag out and ignore Lynx and Midwest pilots their legal rights all you want but the rest of your peers know what is going on.

To think that you somehow can twist your mind to think that these pilots, who have 20 plus years in the airlines, should be appreciative that the company who replaced them gave them a job that pays less than unemployment is just plain unrealistic. At least the majority of the Midwest pilots won't have to work at that dump because many are being picked up at much better jobs at a good clip.

And it morphs again, this time into a flight instructor battle royale.

Huh? I thankfully only instructed for a few hundred hours before landing the sweetest 135 gig ever. That was the first of many amazing experience building jobs I had before moving on. I first sat in the seat I earned with many many thousands of hours in my pocket. I took the slow train and don't have a single regret. As far as battle royales go I'm throwing down the sword. By the way, what is this thread about?

But with that said, I do know few folks over there who are the exception....and guess what?, they think the same way I do about their colleges....sorry in advance for any errors in grammar or spelling...Ive have 4 tall boys in the last hour.
