Default Republic (Midwest) airplane evac MCI

Republic KCI evacuation

My favorite quote from the story

I thought it was kind of fun,” he said. “It is something different. It’s not something that everyone gets to do.

Good job to the crew. Still made by Embraer....are there many reports of the cabin fog / smells like this for other EMB190 operators? Also, if the plane you're flying has escape slides....it's not an RJ anymore. 5 year jetBlue 190 pay = $131 /hr, "midwest," $77 /hr.

Of course the excitement happens the one day I'm not flying out of MCI. Lame. Good job to the crew though.

OK, I don't know what 'SkillsUSA' is but it sounds funny.

the safety slide chutes deployed and the 104 passengers escaped.
I thought Republic 190's only had 99 passenger seats.

What's this thread doing in the regional section?

Mustache Ride, you do realize that Jet Blue just signed their new rates for the 190? Nahh of course you did not know.

Aviatormjc, they do have 99 seats. It's the media. what do you expect. Accuracy?

You do realize you could have much better rates now if the criminals you have representing you would have used their brains.

So let’s compare JetBlue’s old E190 pay rates from 2001. Year 10, JetBlue FO $64.36 CA $96.47, Republic FO $37.00 CA $90.00. Stop making excuses! Our pay is pathetic on the 190, and mediocre on the rest of the airframes.
