Default Small Carrier Bargaining Conference

In this age of self-interest and entitlement let me attempt to revive the old concept of "divided-we-hang". Here is an article from May 2003. Perhaps it is time to hold another Small Carrier Bargaining Conference. We were once on the right track. Of special note is the one- holding-company one-pilot-list of the MAG ALPA CBA.

Yeah, its now called the Fee for Departure Task Force. All of ALPA's regionals are meet yearly. They also have two conference calls a month to discuss these issues. Its been going on for the last 2 years.

Nevets,

That is the point. The FFD Task Force is not very effective in convincing individual pilot groups of the importance of not falling into the trap of whipsaw. There was a stronger effort in'03 to battle whipsaw but it slowly devolved into "how to capture each other's flying". This has to change. How much time is ALPA spending educating it's members on the importance of scope to prevent certificate whipsaw?
