The only MOU I know of is the one bringing furloughed XJ guys over here. Class #2 started this week, so I think that brings the current count up to 18 with more on the way. Other than that, we've heard zilch on this side as far as SLI or how it's gonna go.

I am curious to see what is in this MOU. If it was approved, why aren't we able to view it ourselves?

The main thing I'm curious about with the MOU is where the current XJ furloughs (still furloughed and those in class at 9E) will end up when the SLI gets figured out, even though I'm not furloughed, I'm just curious to see how the leapfrogging may occur when we start loosing Saabs next year...

The MOU's were emailed to all mesaba pilots. Its also on the union website. I can tell our reps put a lot of thought into those MO's lots of protection written into them.

are you sure, i never got an email and can't find it on the union website, maybe your thinking about the agreement to bring the furloughed guys back to 9E or 9L as was posted earlier, beyond that there hasn't been anything else...PM me with how to get to it if you don't mind

It's on the 9E Union Website available for download (always has)...the document expires 15 years from 1997 (which would be 2012)...

Most of the document talks about how Express captains would be given a 1 for 2 integration on Saabs and 1 for 3 on J-31s...FOs would be given essentially a "staple."

Section G is the most relevant part for SLI:

In the event that a transaction such as the one which gave rise to this Letter
of Agreement occurs in the future, where such transaction involves in a net
loss of pilot positions at Mesaba and a net gain of pilot positions at Express,
it is hereby agreed that the parties shall enter into a Letter of Agreement to
provide for the transfer of Mesaba pilots to Express, under terms and
conditions no less favorable than the terms and conditions of this Letter of
Agreement.

This Letter of Agreement shall become effective upon signing by the President of the Association, retroactive to the date of signing, and shall remain in full force and effect through the later of:

1. the amendable date of the then current collective bargaining agreement between Mesaba and the Association, or

2. fifteen (15) years from the date of signing of this Letter of Agreement.

Signed this 26th day of November, 1997.

Click on "Site Map"...

Click on "General Documents" (way down at the bottom)...

Click on "Mesaba LOA 21" (way down at the bottom)...

Oh dude how many times is that thing going to be brought up, and that is not the MOU we are talking about, that is what some 9E guys are pulling out saying thats how they are going to integrate which I garuntee will not be the case, considering Express doesn't exist anymore, and talking with our union legal correspondant it's not going to jive...that's a debate for another thread...
