Cupholders are useless for soda cans, they are too tippy. Now the 700's, now we're talking about real cupholders!!

The CRJ has a cup holder in a cup holder. Not really, but it will catch any spill. And for the soda cans, try the soda can wedge under the side window, adjacent to the DCU1 & 2 inhibit switchlights (FO Side). It's an engineering marvel.

Sorry 'bout dat... I usually try to recycle my grande joe cups post-caffeine consumption. The vented lids are marvelous at preventing the saliva-style oil spills and splatters found in your conventional nap-stuffed styro spitter; however, I strongly recommend only 2 recyclings, as the 'juice' has a tendancy to weaken the seams of the cup, resulting in some of the oil slick scenarios previously-mentioned for this particular cup holder.

wow, what a thread. i love it. how ridiculous was it to build a cup holder that is too small for a 12 oz. soda can? they really fixed a lot of problems with the 700 and 900 in general, and the cupholder is no different. another big upgrade was the window shade setup; although the real shades are still basically worthless, the curtain rod that they attach to is now flush with the roof - so laminated cards (e.g. checklists, EPC's, jumpseat briefing cards, etc.) fit smoothly into the jam. it's complicated to explain, but you'll be stuffing a host of items into the 200 curtain-jams to achieve this goal on a regular basis.
that's right, "curtain-jams."

Anyone else have a problem with the ashes from their cigarette blowing around while trying to use the ashtray? Luckily the packs on the 100/200 suck, so the breeze from the A/C is not too great, but still blows the ashes around
