And as your MEC speaks for you, as does mine. Hopefully when this is all done we will not have a Airways/West issue. I really hope not.

It's not a with us or against us thing to me...

I'm simply telling you that much like the majority that voted down the contract, the majority of the pilots at Pinnacle wanted to see picketing, NOW!

If the MEC had not picketed, recall rumors would be abounding, since if the elected leaders don't do as their constituents ask of them, they're not worth having in office.

Given the fact that ALPA's bureaucracy is notoriously slow, I'm not surprised a picketing event announced on Monday for 4 days later didn't make it onto any official statements. If National starts frowning on individual MEC picketing events, they're gonna lose more than just US Airways. IMO, saying that National is against it is grasping at straws.

Again, this mentality of the world revolving around 9E continues. The other two pilot groups are not supporting you? Or you aren't supporting the other two pilot groups? Let me ask you this, why are you picketing? I thought there were 3 pilot groups involved here, all 3 trying to get a joint contract. By stating that the the other pilot groups involved in the negotiations failed to support your carrier it shows that you think this issue is only about your carrier. It shows your selfishness and lack of cooperation in these negotiations. If your MEC truly wanted unity in these negotiations they would have heeded to a democratic vote of the MECs. I'm sorry you and and a vocal minority of your pilot group fail to realize this isn't all about you and your pilot group.

^^^^^^this is one thing that Mesaba and Colgan guys can not and do not understand since they do not have daily access to our message board and conversations with our pilots.

9e PILOTS have been demading a picket for the last few months when the other "deadlines" were not met by the company. Had this deadline come and went, there would have been riots toward our MEC had they not decided to picket this time. That is one thing you other guys need to understand....

Except for the fact it has been proven time and again that the Pinnacle management group have not and will not bargain in good faith. It's just that the Mesaba and Colgan negotioating teams refuse to acknowledge it. I don't enjoy burying my head in the sand. Hard to breathe down there. This is all about the Pinnacle pilot group, they've been dealing with these idiots for years. We have only been dealing with them for a few years or a few months respectively.

You know what they say about those who fail to learn from history. It only took one missed deadline to confirm what I suspected all along. How long are all three pilot groups going to continue to suffer until the rest of the negotiating team gets it? I'd love to see a JCBA finished in a week. I think the chance of that happening is the same as getting hired as a street captain on the MD11 at FedEx. IOW, it's not going to happen.

So does it show that the XJ MEC thinks it revolves around them when they called the Colgan MEC and told them that if they participate in the picket that XJ would not help support them in getting what they want in the contract, just intimidating Colgan into not participating?

I could have sworn they had a chupacabra on there.

As long as we are talking about unsubstantiated rumors, this one takes the cake. Our Union leaders are not mafia leaders. What is more plausible, ALPA National decides not to mention the 9E picketing event because they feel picketing is unnecessary while progress is being made or the XJ MEC intimidated the Colgan MEC into not participating in the informational picketing event? Do you really believe this malarkey?

IBPilot 12-11-2010 11:16 AM

Sorry i forgot it is OK for colgan or mesaba to spread unfounded rumors but not Pinnacle...

What has the 9E MEC been telling its pilots?

Highlights of the latest CJC Update:

· Scope protections that ensure our job security and completely prevent the whipsawing of one carrier against another, including any carrier newly crafted or purchased by Holdings
· Date-of-signing pay rates that include immediate raises for almost all positions along with a split F/O pay scale
· An increase in minimum days off to 11 days for all positions, including reserve lines
· A minimum credit of 4 hours for each duty period worked, including reserves
· Industry-leading retirement
· Long call reserve

Just wondering if all parties were getting the same information, because I hear a lot of 9E guys complaining that nothing major has been agreed to yet.
