Dang son you are supposed to sip the koolaid not chug it. Anyone who thinks they had a lot to look forward to at mesaba had way to much koolaid to drink and even had their koolaid goggles on. Flow through was going away. Delta didnt want it anymore. The Saabs were on their way out the door. The 200's mesaba had would have been next on the chopping block along with comair's 200s. Selling mesaba off was the easy way out.
I also think all the furloughed and future furloughees were very happy and jumping for joy to know the weren't losing their pay, health coverage, or that they would be getting those things back. Your all welcome ;) After all it could have been transtates. Now hopefully we can get a good contract for us all. And in another post you mentioned pay rates. Mesaba pay rates aren't much better than pinnacle. Especially when you all pay 3 to 20 times as much as us for healthcare. |

Actually pay rates are better than yours, work rules are better than yours, health insurance is not mandatory, so some of us dont pay 20 times what you pay, remember that those were your 200's at one time that are at mesaba.

WOW. Mesabas contract is better than our 11 year old contract? I dont believe it! Of course I remember those 200's are ours. I was here when nwa came and said they would take the planes if we didn't get a pilot contract. We didn't get a contract and nwa took the planes. Don't worry they will be coming home soon.

was that the same contract that secured the 200's to 9e....and by the way no one at mesaba wanted anything to do with 9e, good luck with your MEC, five years amendable is pretty impressive.
lol just like mesaba secured the 900's a few years ago. :) And dont you mean OUR mec? They are working for you too now. So welcome aboard fellow pinnacle pilot. Maybe we will fly together in Memphis sometime. I have had the privilege of flying with a couple of mesaba guys and one mesaba girl. All glad to be here and were a pleasure to fly with. |

What it comes down to is that one should expect to be able to bid roughly the same percentage on their seat / base / fleet type after the SLI. You should not be able to jump ahead to a much better position afterwards due to how the SLI was worked out. Anything else amounts to you taking from another pilot.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I spoke to an ALPA "pilot-to-pilot" rep. and he said that they are looking at NO fences...
