Maybe done calling. But not done hiring. I interview today for the 10/11 class. And a friend interviews tomorrow for the same class.

Just a heads up, rumor has it we'll be hiring on the XJT side of the house come first quarter of next year (sometime around February), so if you didn't get a chance at ASA, you might get a chance at XJT, and about this time next year, we'll be one happy family.

JustAnotherPLT 10-04-2010 06:16 PM

Just spoke with DR today while walking in two resumes. The Oct. 11th class is filled or will be filled with the remaining interviews. As for another class, there is nothing scheduled, however, he mentioned he would be shocked if we didn't have another class within 90 days.

He told me the same thing.

...keep 'em comin, y'all are welcome !

How does ASA handle new hire seniority in a newhire class (age, last 4)? Does anyone know what the break down was for the 9/27 class on domicile/equip?

johnpeace 10-05-2010 02:48 AM

Class seniority assigned by birthday. I'm interested in equip breakdown of 9/27 class too.

PeezDog 10-05-2010 07:41 AM

What does it matter what equipment people are assigned?

first year pay is the same. Changes year 2 and up.

But, depending in if you get the 200 or the 700/900 completely alters how much gauze you need for your bleeding A$$ once scheduling is done with you when you are on reserve.

As short as the company is on the 200, if they send newhires to the 700 it will be suggestive that more 700s/900s are on their way...which is the loudest, most oft repeated rumor on the property.

That's why I wanted to know.

AtlCSIP 10-05-2010 06:31 PM

I heard today of someone who did not make it through the interview. He was around 1500 tt and 600 Multi. Don't know why.

I also heard from DR today. Class for 10/11 is full with 24 new hires. He is creating a pool of 15 or 20 for another class, but the date is undetermined.

WstCstCmtr 10-09-2010 11:16 AM

Meet and greet at Joes Sunday evening?

frmrdashtrash 10-09-2010 12:31 PM

Did they hire any "high" time guys?

surreal1221 10-09-2010 01:13 PM

Company will be hiring more soon...they're kidding themselves if 48 pilots will get us through the holiday season or through the Spring or through the Summer of next year. Especially if Delta continues to draw away guys at 15-20+ per month entering into next year.

DL31082 10-09-2010 02:32 PM

Hopefully they will hire more. I would really like to got on with ASA unfortunately I don't have any internal recommendations.

houv1 10-09-2010 02:59 PM

What is attrition like at ASA?

Most all of our hot female FO's have now been hired at Delta so it's about to slow way down again.

What is Joe's? Where is it? What time? On first year FO pay, might meet and greet in the hotel lobby!

3000+ hours and 4000+ hours, or are you looking for higher than that?

"Joe's On Sullivan"

It's either that or Ruby Tuesday. I think domestic talls are only 2.75. Half off wings. 5 or 6? I'll PM you my number.

johnpeace 10-10-2010 05:15 AM

Are you guys at the LaQuinta?

Mind if I come by and iron a shirt later? I just realized crashpad has no ironing board/iron...

JetPipeOverht 10-10-2010 04:35 PM

You guys sound like seasoned Flight Attendants cooking in the galley with nothing but a coffee pot and ramen...haha

AtlCSIP 10-11-2010 05:39 PM

October 11 Class

25 started today. 3 ExpressJet furloughs, 1 ASA coming back from medical leave, and 21 off the street new hires. About half of the new hires were furloughed from Comair, Mesa, NetJets, etc... The other half were instructors, corporate guys, and Part 135 guys. They said that they probably need three people to go to IAD, and we had three volunteers. Everybody is probably going to the CRJ 200, but we won't know until later in the week. Oldest guy was 55, youngest was 24, I think.

Still interviewing this week and next week for a pool of 15 to 20 for a new hire class, but may not happen until after the first of the year.

That's all for now!

I've been at XJT for a while now and I'm looking to help out a friend and walk his stuff in. Who would I take it to? Would I have to wait till after the merger since everything will be going through ASA now?

hanknix 10-12-2010 11:41 AM

Anxious to hear when the next class will be!

Let me guess. They called you today or yesterday and you don't have any 121 experience OR are local to ATL/GA?

I got less than 24 hours as well...it can be done, good luck !

Are you annoyed that they did not call you for a interview?

"Are you annoyed that they did not call you for a interview?" I can understand if he is ....... when your location trumps experience there is something just not right .

I would be willing to bet BOTH.

It doesn't. Obviously I am from the west coast. Spoilers has been getting more sour by the day... this is just the first time he is spreading his joy somewhere other than Comair Updates.

featheredprop 10-13-2010 03:39 PM

I dont have knowledge of that but i sure would love a crack at an interview but ..... Guess in time things will loosen up .

Guess it could be worse they could be hiring girls with 25 hours of multi !
