And by the way, I'm not trying to start a Regional vs. Major argument. Simply, how it's ok to be called by your legacy partner's name when you have a good outcome, and complete detachment of responsibility when you have a negative outcome.
me either...but +1

Great job to the crew! I just flew that plane yesterday. I guess we are down a 900 now. I know some items on the 900's are still warrantied since they are very new but I wonder if they cover items that were a result of the gear malfunction. The wings and fuselage are probably a mess as well as other items. Who picks up the bill. I'm sure in a perfect world they would love to stick the flight crew with the bill.

Great job to those involved. The comments at the bottom make we want to bash my head against a wall! Someone asked why they didn't dump the fuel prior to landing as if they were completely certain that the aircraft was jettison capable.

Interesting... .that would have been one of the 15 that we were supposed to get at Mesaba before the 2 for 1 swap ASA agreed to..... My last recurrent we were told that the gear seems to be as much a problem for the 900 that the flaps are for the 200. We actually had one on the way from the factory for delivery have to do the manual extention. I was told these are electric glitches and the manual extension should work fine by bypassing the electronics. Guess it didn't work in this situation.

Great job guys.

You know Mesa had the same thing a couple of years ago on A/C N511MJ
S/N 10104 (below). a CRJ700.

And I think the aircraft will be fixed but it will be out of service for at least 3 months

Excellent job!

FWIW- every news report I've heard this evening called it "Delta Connection flight operated by Atlanta Southeast Airlines."

That's good to hear, that crew deserves some recognition.
