Actually, yes, there is, which is why I asked to begin with, and it has absolutely nothing to do with aircraft size. I actually like flying Cessna 150's, so size, in this case, matters little to me!

Humm, while I agree the deciding factor is living in base is the way to go...
From what I've heard from friends still there is that nobody is mentioning that while they are telling him he will get a line right out of school, they are not telling people that once they displace their EMB pilots out of NY it will trigger a displacement bid, and all of the new hire CRJ guys can expect to be displaced to different equipment, most likely the EMB and be on reserve.
how's that for a run on sentence?
Oh, and as much as I hate outside subcontractors, ASA would be the better job. Eage for sale... yeah right. When something is for sale, you hear about it AFTER the sale is done... like Compass & Mesaba... Eagle gets put on the block for sale everytime a pilot contract is being negotiated or amended... be it APA or EGL ALPA. Stop drinking the koolaid.

AMR is going to merge Eagle into AA. AA has 4400 pilots retiring in the next 10 years. You'll be a captain at AA in 15 and 787 cpt in 20!!!
Go Eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not..... As a TWA flowback at EAgle stuck in the right seat in my 16th year making 35k/ year. All I can say,,,,, stay away from AMR!!!! it's a costic environment!
oh.... commuting knocks 10 years off your life and thousands of dollars out of your pocket.

My guess is it's his 16th year since DOH at TWA. The flowbacks are upgrading with their Eagle seniority now since Letter 3/Supp W is expired. They have been sitting in the right seat for a couple years since the big displacement after the SAABs and a handful of 135s were parked.

For those wondering, I just got confirmation of the class date with ASA today, and I took it. Absolutely nothing against Eagle. Everyone I dealt with there was extremely professional, but being based at home is just too big a deal. I called Eagle 5 minutes ago to let them know.
Good luck guys!
