Default CFI to substitute teacher?

I was told that you can convert your CFI license to a "substitute teaching degree"??? Sounds a bit easy?

Not true you need a BS or BA plus there are other test and qualifications depending on state.

If I remember right, and its been over 5 years since I have instructed, its actually the other way around. I think if you have a teaching degree you dont have to do the FOI part of the CFI ride.

Substitute teacher requirements vary by state. In California you need a 4 year degree. In Texas I heard you only need a high school diploma.

It might vary on what County you're trying to sub in rather than state.

Check it out!

I'm a cashier at McDonalds by night to try and break 27k a year. I work between flying. Entry requirements arent that high, give it a shot.

My state requires a four year degree plus teaching experience.

Prepare yourself for one of the hardest jobs you have encountered in your life.

Michigan only requires that you have completed 90 credit hours of collegiate work. Individual districts have additional requirements, I'm working on doing it in Washtenaw Cty. I have to take some CBT's on various things, it's free and easy.
