Just as I suspected. This profession rocks.

"Six Days On the Road." Don't know who sings it, but it's a great country song.

Sawyer Brown re-recorded it a few years back. Don't know the original

At XJT, I've done NINE consecutive days. A 4 day, 1 day, and a 4 day. But just as everybody else has mentioned, it happened in the transition and I was line holder.

Some of our reserve blocks have six straight days of duty.

At XJ, I had a six day, then 1 day off, then another six day, 1 day off, then a four day.

Horizon does it. But only every chance they get!!!

GLA does it. They seem to have a love of 6 on, 1 off, 6 on schedules. It's ok though because we don't work as hard as most pilots since our planes have less seats.

I don't care who you are that is funny/sad.

The longest pairings at SkyWest are 5-days (which aren't that common), but I think our PBS defaults to 6 on 2 off. That obviously doesn't work when there is only about 80 hours per line holder to go around though, and can be changed by inserting your own line preferences.

There aren't any reserve lines built like that. The only time you will get that is in transition from month to month, which hasn't happened to me in over 6 months.
