Waterski recall rumor...

Its anyone's guess. Its going to take more than the week we've had for a lot of guys to really weigh their options. I haven't spoken with any of the higher ups over there in regards to numbers. However I would hazard a guess and say that if you're in the top half of the current furlough list, your chances of being called with a class date are pretty high.
So we think letters went out to all 128 but only the top 54 that accept will be given a class date, the rest just get a "we'll let you know when we need you"?

I agree... In the top 20, there are about 5 guys returning. I'm sure that ratio is about the same the entire way down the list. Think about all those guys that went over to gojet, and even more are at compass now... they're definitely not coming back. Mandatory recall is just around the corner... with a good chance of hiring.

Has anybody gotten a call or email back from TransStates? I recieved my letter last tuesday, emailed them that night, called later that week, emailed again yesterday, then called and left another message today. I really need to give my current employer notice before I leave. I am very excited about flying again!!

I talked to the CP on Monday and he said that it will take them up to two weeks because they need to give everyone a chance to respond. I think they also need to get those green cards to come back with confirmation dates as to when each one of us got the letter, then they can go with the 7 day rule. So I'm just going to relax until the end of next week cause we all should hear something by then.
Don't quote me on this (don't want to start a bad rumor), but I think our training is going to be only 2 weeks long and then OE so unless your are a super wizard I would slowly start studying soon. I 'm having a feeling that rides aren't going to be all that easy this time around cause of that crash a while back and the whole thing with ATP mins....
Last but not least... I was told that we are going to be considered STL based during training so we are on our own with a place to stay (but he did say something about pay)... awesome.
All this is just FYI so don't start crazy rumors before we all know for sure.
