So we think letters went out to all 128 but only the top 54 that accept will be given a class date, the rest just get a "we'll let you know when we need you"?

I would say that the actual list of pilots willing to come back, people that haven't moved on to other airlines/opportunities is more like 50 to less than 100. Plus some will wait for the mandatory. So I wouldn't doubt a mandatory recall in the near future.

I agree... In the top 20, there are about 5 guys returning. I'm sure that ratio is about the same the entire way down the list. Think about all those guys that went over to gojet, and even more are at compass now... they're definitely not coming back. Mandatory recall is just around the corner... with a good chance of hiring.

Has anybody gotten a call or email back from TransStates? I recieved my letter last tuesday, emailed them that night, called later that week, emailed again yesterday, then called and left another message today. I really need to give my current employer notice before I leave. I am very excited about flying again!!

Someone said they didn't get their letter till last Sat or this Monday so I'm guessing later next week they'll tell us about class dates unless everyone has replied already.

I talked to the CP on Monday and he said that it will take them up to two weeks because they need to give everyone a chance to respond. I think they also need to get those green cards to come back with confirmation dates as to when each one of us got the letter, then they can go with the 7 day rule. So I'm just going to relax until the end of next week cause we all should hear something by then.
Don't quote me on this (don't want to start a bad rumor), but I think our training is going to be only 2 weeks long and then OE so unless your are a super wizard I would slowly start studying soon. I 'm having a feeling that rides aren't going to be all that easy this time around cause of that crash a while back and the whole thing with ATP mins....
Last but not least... I was told that we are going to be considered STL based during training so we are on our own with a place to stay (but he did say something about pay)... awesome.
All this is just FYI so don't start crazy rumors before we all know for sure.

No he didn't say, but at the same time I didn't have much time to talk to him anyways.

Just got my "Come pick your 'sense of hope' letter up from the USPS" note this afternoon.

West-coast always gets things 6 days later.

What makes me laugh is the fact that most people that tell all of us not to take the recall are people that are still there. And why are they still there???? Makes me wonder....
