Default Information Request (on pay Check Airmen)

Hi All
Somewhat new member, first post. Looking to garner some information if anyone wouldn't mind sharing.

I am looking to see what other regionals are paying their instructors & check airmen. Annual overrides? Hourly pay? Any scheduling perks?

Thanks in advance for your information.
Feel free to post or PM me personally.

125% override when doing OE.

5.5 hours for a line check/stan ride.

Thats about it.

But the really cool thing is the name tag that says, "Check Airman". I jumped on the train at DEN at the last instant, so the door had to reopen. I wound up belly to belly with a SKW pilot with the above tag. He was giving me a disgusted look, so I decided to talk with him.

"Are you a Check Airman?", I asked. His eyes shifted back and forth but he did not reply.

"Cool name tag, but at Mesa the Check Airmen wear a fifth stripe"

That was done after a few incidents where a jumpseating check-airman observed unprofessional behavior because the crew didn't know he was a check-airman. It's more of a "fair disclosure" thing than an ego trip.

Thats sad.... shouldn't you be professional whether you have a jumpseater or not? You should fly like theres always a check airman watching, rather than demand to know when you have one.
