Waterskiers- current and alumni

Company higher up just stated ( again and the obvious from their perspective) the following:
they stated " that if TSA ALPA gets a proffer for arbitration, it will lead to the orderly dissolution of the company."

blah , blah , blah--- classic BS tactic--- i say call their bluff--

another thing-- why , when they need 54ish pilots would they admit to stating the above when furloughees would think to themselves-- "why would i want to come back to uncertainty?" unless they really, really, really need the job to either get current and bail or need health insurance--- dont give that " i love to fly BS" i do to but not for free and to be taken advantage of--
below is a copy of the letter from a few months back-- blah blah blah again.
i suggest to not take the first call back and make the return call back mandatory and see how the company plays that----
there are tons of other jobs out there and why hold out for a crappy one where they continue to threaten their own employees who make them tens of million a year in profit , go and purchase another airline to compicate matters and buy them more time at ridiculously low rates---- smoke and mirrors people, smoke and mirrors---
good luck to all of you, hang in there its almost over
one way or another

hopefully you guys picket when im off , i miss walking in circles-- especially in winter at KORD!

That's why TSA Management are nothing but a bunch of D Bags.

What was the last company to dissolve due to a strike?

If the company dissolves whose gonna be safe amongst the higher ups? I mean RL will probably keep his job, but all the Flt Mgrs, CP, DO etc will all loose their jobs. You'd think that there are some nervous higher ups too....

nah, the higher ups are fine-- they always take care of thier own-- even if u take off single engine-- just shuffle around.

gojet and compass-- they are easily absorbed

Didn't Spirit management say the same thing?

You can get health insurance by working at the strip club and even better retirement options than at tSA... we need the currency. But yea I'm guessing desperate is the key word there for the majority that go back.

As far as the issue at hand, hopefully we can get an agreement by next year.

HK might as well shut the doors now because neither side is comin back to the table. IF the NMB would get off their duffs and release us id say a strike is a sure thing.

mynameisjim 12-08-2010 05:34 PM

Wow the reduced health care premium for employee plus one is $275?? What is the current premium for a plus one or employee?

pgriffin 12-08-2010 06:39 PM

So let me understand something here.... many of you are saying that it is desperate to go back, that we should not take the recall but yet you still work there.... WHY?????? if you are so unhappy the why won't you just GET OUT?????

It can't be the money cause many claim that you can make as much at McDonald's but yet I don't see any of you quiting the job you "hate" soooo much and flipping burgers and saying "ding fries are done"...... at least you could be home every night RIGHT?

You all know that by being all negative you will not change anything. All you're doing is making yourself and people around you miserable. Most of us know that they will not shut down the company because they are making money, and they are making even more every day we are without a contract. They won anyways since there really isn't very much improvement to what is agreed on so far. Duty rigs and trip rigs are gone already. Next 11 days off and 100% pay will probably go too.

So, if you are still there or coming back, stop b***ing so much or just get out.....

****nowhere in this message I tried to say that it IS a perfect place to work*****
