Default XJ and 9L

Dear XJ and 9L MECs,

On behalf of myself and several friends at 9E and other major ALPA carriers I've spoken with today, we're all wondering--will you also be flying our struck work if we end up back in Section 6 and get released?

We'd really like to know. Please note our MEC chose not to hose your butts with the integration LOA, which is still effective and considered a "mutually acceptable alternative agreement" under ALPA bylaws governing mergers.

Sincerely,

flapshalfspeed

Therein lies the problem. You are more concerned with the prospect of your Section 6 negotiations continuing down a horrific path and hitting the pavement than you are with the JCBA talks.

99% of the time I'm a glass half full guy. When it comes to 9E management, I don't believe a word that comes out of their mouths. When I see a TA is when I believe they're serious about getting a deal. I've been lied to, cajoled and threatened into doing what they need to keep the airline running too many times. "NWA is gonna cancel our flying if you don't sign our last, best and final offer." Two days later, 10 year deal signed with NWA. "We can't get anymore flying unless you sign this deal." Less than a week later, -900s announced with Delta. "We can't afford to pay you that." Few days later, announce the purchase of Colgan AND orders for Q400s. "We NEED this health care proposal, or we can't afford anything else." Two days later, they announce the XJ purchase. The guys across the table representing 9E management haven't changed, so I don't trust them any more than I did in Section 6.

I understand the history between PNCL and the PCL pilot group, and I wouldn't wish that upon any pilot.

Keep in mind you have negotiators from PCL on the JNC and every communication from that source has been positive to date.

Your management chose not to transfer the jets and negotiate a single JCBA with a single seniority list.

Im really sure you know that it would not fly and there is ZERO chance of this happening. I realize you must be joking because of the "" but keep in mind those who do not understand how ALPA integration process is accomplished and what is allowed.

So far, that's true.
