Coming out against us in such a brazen fashion does not bode well for union unity, whether you agree with what the pinnacle mec is doing or not. For all of our sakes I hope this joint contract can get done or come next year is going to be a rough one for a lot of mesaba people, or at least the ones that aren't already over here.

LMAO - typical response... when everything else fails blame the reader hahaha
Sir,
I believe you were playing devil's advocate just for the hell of it? Then stated it would never happen.
You are playing both sides in every effort to protect your MEC's incompetant decision to not support our picketing events.
You are not in Kansas anymore...

If the XJ and Colgan MEC did not approve of what the Pncl MEC was doing to day, they should have just remained silent. But to instruct your Pilots not to support the event was a lack in good judgement. Thats why everyone is bashing each other on this site..... The very existence of union's coming together as a brotherhood was washed away by them instructing their pilots. I am sure once the waves of this event calm down we will all be able to look at each other again with one common goal and that is sticking it to Pncl Corp.

What is, in your opinion, the actual status of negotiations? Why are all three MECs, as you say, only saying good things to get the updates approved? If that were the case, why wouldn't 9E jsut be honest in the updates, since it is they who are picketing in the first place. All they have to do is lay it out and say how bad negotiations are going and there is no hope of a TA, so lets start playing mean. That would take away the obvious argument that there is progress being made, as again was stated in last nights update.
Plus, you are a union rep, and with that comes some responsibility. Do you, sir, approve of the nature of this thread? Do you really believe that XJ and 9L pilots will fly your struck work? I am not being sarcastic, I really want to know if that is the case. If it is not, you should be doing your best to call some of your fellow pilots out as being unreasonable and counter productive. Only calm heads will prevail in this fight, emotion always leads to a disaster, and that is the last thing ANY of us want.

Therein lies the problem. You are too full of yourselves to see whats really going on here. How is that Mesaba guys are quick to say "We're in this together guys, we have to work together and support each other." And then you won't even support a picket. We're talking about a picket, you walk around in circles and you guys can't even do that. I find it disturbing that you guys are so "pro-unity" but you cannot see the bigger picture. If we don't get a contract and you guys go into your own negotiations you'll see exactly what all the 9E guys have been "*****ing and complaining" about. I GUARANTEE you guys will get absolutely no sympothy from us 5 years down the road when you still don't have a contract. You think your snap-backs are going to motivate the company to give you guys a new contract? I'd put all my chips on the fact that it would be cheaper for them to pay you snap back then it would for them to give you a new contract. Let that marinate in your brain for a little while before you go making enemies. We've been dealing with this mgmt team for longer than a majority of your pilot group has been at Mesaba. When they start doing to you guys what they've been doing to us, DO NOT come crying to us. I'll be sitting here with a big fat I told ya so just waiting. Unless of course we get that JCBA and all this is just a waste of time. You guys are unreal, I hope you don't speak on behalf of your guys because how pathetic. You say we are all talk?? Its a picket fellas, we're not burning churchesand kidnapping people. YOU GUYS ARE ALL TALK, work together and support each my a$$. Pathetic

No, what is sick is that our alpa brothers and sisters are not supporting us. "Unity and brotherhood are the tenants of Unionism and the tools we use to persevere in the face of adversity. Apparently, the Mesaba and Colgan MECs only believe in these tenets when they agree with you. We were not anticipating much involvement from the other MECs for our event but this outward rejection of support is unheard of in Union circles." So while I may not agree that this is the time to picket it would have been better for the mesaba and colgan mec's to not say anything than it was for them to actually come out against us. When all of this is finally over I will always wonder where the "other" guys stand. When we still don't have a joint contract and the planes start moving are the Mesaba and Colgan pilots going to look to us for support?
