Gouge sheet? The OP asked if someone can give him their flash cards instead of making his own. What are you talking about?

This does NOT make them less qualified candidates or pilots.
Especially if the guy has any previous turbine time..... many of the memory items really start to look the same.

Oxygen Mask and Smoke Goggles.... Don and 100% (or emergency)
Crew Communications ....................Establish

there's half of the list

Who is hazing? We merely suggested that it's more productive to make your own. I just don't understand "generation me" sometimes.

My post may have been misunderstood. There is absolutely nothing wrong with reading up before training. However, I believe that memory items are very important and it's sort of like getting the cliff notes when writing a paper. The only reason we have immediate action items is because as pilots we don't fully understand the systems of the aircraft and their applications to flight dynamics. In theory if we were a master of the aircraft we would already know what to do and wouldn't need memory items from a checklist.

My point is they are taught in order so that you don't get ahead of yourself. It's not about remembering items in a list when someone asks you. It's about know what to do when the crap hits the fan.

Sorry if I came across as bold.

I think it's great the guy wants o cone to class with some limitations memorized. At Skywest they give us a packet to review before newhire/ upgrade.

On the iPhone, there is an app called "Flash Q/ard" where people post flashcard sets for various subjects. I found a set of expressjet limitations on there- should help! There is also limitations flashcards for a ton of regional and major airlines for download with the app and a way to upload your own card sets to share with other people.

Unhappy

Guys....

Thanks for the replys. I found them to be quite amusing. When I interviewed with Express Jet about 5 years ago, they were giving the limits and memory items to the people they hired that day, but before the class started.

I just wanted to get a start if I could, I like to type them in Word and print them. The computer equipment that I have at home is much better than in most hotels.

That being said, I went to another carrier, got a couple of thousand hours and a type in a 145.

1) I understand the systems.

2) I have already drank beer and made my own flash cards, but an other carrier.
( As someone said, the there can be some deviation on procedures and memory items, not only with time but between companies)

3) I don't have an iPhone

Thanks for the comments. I'm sure it will be fun to get back to the 145.

Thank you. I will compare these to what I already have to see if there are any differences.

Dont worry, after week 1 you will forget all the memory items, then you'll learn them again and forget them during the sim. Seriously just wait. Most likely you will get wrong information and you will only hurt yourself. The training program is built for all types of learning, and if you need more time, you'll get it.
