They assign seniority based on the last 4 of your SSN. 0001 is good 9999 bad. Bases are assigned in seniority order based on company need. As others have mentioned for the CRJ MSP, IAH, COS and ORD are junior. They tend to award classes towards the end of ground school. The award transfers on a pretty regular basis, so it's possible to transfer to a new base before you even get out on the line. With all the hiring and upgrades going on it shouldn't take too long to get the base you want, as long as it's east of the rockies.

Viper speaks the truth. They tell you what equipment you are slated for when they hire you. Usually in the first week you fill out your bid based on your preference. Most prefered to last. Then they look at company need in existing domiciles and award based on class seniority. I know new hires are getting offers for the jet as well as the Bro right now. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I really appreciate the insight. I'm slated for the CRJ 4/25 class, hoping for ORD because I live there, with an SSN starting with 4. I'm really looking forward to it, and I just received the study guide in the mail.
