SkyWest and CAL IAH flying

I hold the same opinion as Tbucket and Otto:
This flying is permitted as long as it doesn't have the Continental code on it. You are doing the flying assigned by your company. If CALALPA is happy with the result of the ruling and the company is in compliance, I have no problems with any SKYW pilots over this. We are all just cogs in managements' wheels.

Although I did hear some people booing Skywest yesterday on the ground and tower frequency. Also, I saw some CAL pilots at their gates in protest! So I'm guessing some people are not that happy. The radio thing was kind of funny! Reminded me of the first days of CHQ in IAH! Welcome to houston boys and girls!

Don't get me wrong. CAL pilots do not like it (including me), but CAL found a loophole to the scope and its legal. We will protest and fight it, but I do not blame any pilots for doing their job. 70 seaters at CAL will result in lost jobs at CAL/UAL, which will result in more careers for those flying 70 seaters. Enjoy your career at a regional airline.
