So from you guys actually flying for Great Lakes, how is it? We all know about the pay. Other than than that, how is it? Fun flying, fun people? Do most live in DEN? What's the morale like between the actual pilots? Is it a fun place to fly for awhile then get out?

they can't afford to pay for internet or a computer so you might not get any comments.

honestly- I was an FO, and I taught Upgrade for the Beech. I met some great people there and got some awesome experience. If you can make it through training, you can make it through any 121 training.
It is a good place to work if you're trying to get some growth for your career and don't mind the bad QOL. If you are looking for prestige- wrong place to go.

So it depends on what you're looking for- It was great for me because I got on at 400 hours. Upgrade is fast and you can get your 1000 pic in a couple of years.

It is a humbling experience and I enjoyed my time there.

All in all, if I had to do all over again, I would make the same call.

Honestly, what else do you need to say that that?

Do you know how much $16 per hour x 75 hour guarantee is? I'll tell you. It's $1200 per month, BEFORE TAX. The most you can make as an FO is $21 per hour.

The cashier at Walmart making the federal minimum wage is making the exact same amount.

I make $40 an hour and I think I'm grossly underpaid for what I do. Nobody can tell you what to do, but I think the fact that guys continue to work like slaves to earn Walmart wages is a big part of the reason the industry's gone down the tubes.

Well we are about to lose all of our Montana flying to Gulfstream (not official but pretty much gonna happen) so there is a lot of uncertainty right now to what they are going to do....

Our bids were supposed to come out today for next month but they have put a hold on them for a MAJOR last minute schedule change and making the pilot group re-bid...the new bids aren't out yet so can't comment on what the big change was yet...

At the least in my opinion this will significantly slow down new hire classes and upgrades...

If I had to do it all over again, I would without hesitation. As far as my personal opinions go, I made the right move. Flying is fun, people are some of the best in the industry, quick upgrade, and fast way to the majors. It can be rough at times, but keep a good attitude and you'll enjoy your short time here.

I live in FOCO (Ft. Collins to the lay-person) which is about an hour and a half north of DIA. I've enjoyed this job a lot, enjoyed the personnel I work with, and enjoyed the training I've provided. I've worked hard to get where I'm at and would do it all over again.
