Another question for the SKW folks, about 4 months ago I interview with ASA for the XJET side and didn't get an offer, why? I don't know, the interview process was a joke, I didn't get asked no questions, only H.R lady asked me 5 simple questions. Then sent to fingerprints, drug test and sim. would that affect me if I apply to SKW? or i have to wait Xnumber of months to reapply? since SKW owns ASA/XJET. Thanks in advance fellas.

nope I think you should be able to apply at skywest no problemo.

Usually they look for people with a decent command of the English language. If English is your second language they might cut you some slack, but if your New Jersey accent is so thick that you might unintentionally intimidate passengers, most regionals may not need more than 5 questions to sort you out.

I kid....but seriously, I think the application processes are totally seperate.

Well I don't want to turn this topic in to Rosseta Stone commercial. English was not the issue here Duvie, to begin with the HR Lady was short in the questions to everyone. Around 5 questions for every applicant at that present time. I'm not here wondering why I didn't get an offer?, this is not the case I had 3 airlines interviews in the past and had an offer. It's an ironically I got an offer with XJT 3 years ago and placed in the pool before the 300+ furloughs mid summer of 2008. So English was not the issue. Thanks for everyone imputs.

Maybe you're just not caring about your presentation on the forums, but if you write and speak like your last few posts at a SKW interview you will not get hired there either.

Thanks for your opinion rick. You are misjudging me. I'm not here to discuss why I didn't got an offer and no need to fixating "you have a problem with your writing and speaking and not get hired there either" you don't know that, totally irrevelant, everypilot in their lifetime gets a rejection letter for what ever reasons. I flew with many Captains that they don't have the perfect english and we still had exelent CRM. Chill out I only asked a simple question about reapply for SKW not to discuss about the language, spiling I mean, (spelling );). peace or piece :D

I'm not judging you, or offering an opinion. I'm assuming that you can dial up your language skills and polish when required...what I'm saying is make sure you do that when the time comes.

SKW has a somewhat different corporate culture than some other regionals, if you don't come across as somewhat polished at the interview they will hire someone else (that's fact, not opinion).

Ironically, however, once hired your lack of spelling/grammar skills may catapult you directly into middle management.

It's true tho. SW puts a lot of emphasis on details especially grooming, spelling, and language/communication skills. As they should.
