SkyWest new hire questions?

Hi all, I'm a new hire with a few questions.

- How long from accepting the offer until receiving a class date?

- How long until you received your "Welcome Aboard packet and New Hire Study Guide"?

- What have been the ratio between Brasila and CRJ classes?

Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to getting started!

Took about a week to receive my newhire packet. I think there is a EMB class starting this Monday (4/5) or so and another CRJ class starting April 25th. It only took a few days for them to give me an official offer with a class date. I think it was a week or so.

What are the chances of ORD/IAH/MSP as a new hire?

Also, how many is SKW planning on hiring?

From what I heard in training from the head of the GS department, new hiring numbers have been bumped up to ~60/month. Also through the late part to end of the year.

The new hire study packet will come about a week after the job offer. You'll get a few emails closer to class with an electronic I-9, W-4, and new hire paperwork (including PRIA stuff).

IAH, MSP, ORD are the 3 most junior bases. If you don't get it in the initial award, the word is that you will in short order after that. Probably before getting on-line. We're waiting for the initial award for our class, but then we only started a week ago.

Great atmosphere in training. Seems like a good bunch of people in the building.

Sorry, I should have stated I am a person that interviewed and was offered a position with SkyWest Airlines as a First Officer (which I accepted) under a conditional offer pending during my background check, which by the way must come back clean with no discrepancies in order to gain access to beginning class in order to label myself a "new hire", annnd that I'm looking to find information in regards to when my new hire package arrives in the mail...

Everyone else, thank you for your replies.

I was told hiring this year could reach 400+ (Hopefully more!)

As far as initial bases go, I'm told MSP, IAH and ORD on the CRJ. Brasilia FAT, with some that have been able to transfer out shortly.

Am I reading this correctly, 480 new hires projected for the remanding of the year?

The GS director was doing Q/A's on the 2nd day. When we were talking, he said that the day before they had a meeting talking about hiring trends. He said they revised their needs. They need more than they were planning for when they started hiring. When asked a # he wouldn't say, nut we guessed 50, he pointed up, we guessed 55, he pointed up, 60 he gave a knodd. Basically he was not allowed to say a # out loud, but that's what he inferred.
